If you are a prospective employer, allow me to tell you a few things about myself and why I would be an excellent addition to your team.

I am extremely reliable and punctual. I get upset with myself if I am running late at all. At my most recent job I was late exactly one time. That was due to an excessive amount of freezing rain the night before, the roads were coated with about a half inch of ice, and I drove my girlfriend to work since she was scared to drive. I passed several downed tree limb and power lines, I arrived at my job about 5 minutes late. Other than that, it was over of year of punctual arrivals and I was always willing to stay late if required.

I am also very hard-working. If I am given a task, I will complete it to the very best of my abilities. If other things arise that require my attention, I will take care of those as well. I have no problem multi-tasking at all, it will generally give me a moment to step away from the task at hand, which will occasionally allow me to think up a new, more effective technique for accomplishing that task.

I have a ton of heart. I perform everything the very best that I can. Not just because I want to impress my employer, but because if I don't give it my all, I won't feel good about myself.
I feel that I would be an excellent addition to any team. There is absolutely nothing that I cannot due if I'm given the proper training to handle tasks that are new to me, although I do have experience in a diverse array of fields. I am willing to learn how to perform tasks that I've done previously in the manner that a current employer would like me to do them.

To summarize, I believe that I will thrive in any situation where I am given an honest opportunity.

I had another interview, with a different company, for a different Management Trainee position this past Thursday. Really it was more of a half hour presentation followed by a 5 minute one-on-one interview. It went really well, I go in for interview #2 on Wednesday. Actually, what I'm doing is riding along with one of their reps and then interviewing again back at the office. If I am going to get a job offer for this company, that is when it will take place. I am pretty optimistic about this one. It is allegedly an industry that is absolutely booming.

Also, this blog will be covered next week over at JibberJobber in the Blogs section, so I am looking forward to that. Jason Alba (Award Winner), the CEO there, has informed me that he is not a fan of blogs as a job search device, but that's cool with me, because I'm getting exposure regardless. I hope that the people who wander over here from there will contribute some comments, suggestions and/or Diggs. I'd really love some feedback.

Feel free to offer me a lucrative job as well. hehe.

I only started blogging when this blog began 9 days ago. In fact, I've hardly read any other blogs. So I fully realize that this isn't necessarily the prettiest blog around. I also struggle at time to come up with material that will keep readers interested, I'm always looking for ideas. I do, however, have plans for a post tomorrow...

I went to a meeting yesterday evening for a Manager In Training position at a large retailer. There were 5 other people there for the presentation (by the District Manager), 2 of which left before the preliminary interviews. There were also 4 other current Store Managers/Managers in Training there. I stuck around and interviewed for about 15-20 minutes with another Store Manager, it was just a basic "get to know you" interview. I thought it went pretty well. Now I wait to see if the District Manager calls me to set up a formal interview.

It was nice to finally get a response and have the chance to get out and interview. Even if it was approximately an hour and a half drive to get there, complete with some lovely freeway construction for the trip home.

As always, any and all suggestions/comments/Diggs are greatly appreciated

I received a comment from my Introduction post from the CEO of an employment blog offering to blog about my blog. That's pretty cool.

Tomorrow evening I am traveling to a meeting to learn more about a potential Management Training program for a large retailer. There will also be a short interview and hopefully this will lead to something.

I am also still waiting to hear anything in response to the very large quantity of positions I applied for last week. It hasn't been very long since the applications, but the ratio of jobs I apply for to the responses I get remains rather discouraging. It really doesn't matter to me if it's a positive response, I'd feel better if I got confirmation that they received my resume.

The last time that I interviewed was over a month ago now. It lasted for about 8 hours and ultimately it was determined by the company that I was overqualified for the position, since I have a college degree.

I was hoping for more postings at HotJobs, Michigan Works, etc over the weekend, but there were very few.

Anyway, other than that, I guess I don't have much to say right now.

I appreciate any and all comments that are left. I'd certainly love any suggestions on helpful things to blog about, and I'd just like to know that people are reading this. Also, as always, all Diggs are highly appreciated.
